The Out_Circuit makes music in reference to a state of mind. On their debut record, Burn Your Scripts, Boys, that state of mind was mellow, moody and atmospheric. For the bands sophomore effort, Pierce the Empire With A Sound, Nathan Burke holds to the bracing-yet-beautiful instrumental melodies that Burn Your Scripts was noted for, but builds on those, positioning them opposite a heavier sound actualized by occasionally screamy vocals and a driving rhythm section. Collaborations with Dustin Kensrue of Thrice, Sean Ingram of Coalesce, Rachel Burke of Beauty Pill, as well as members of Roadside Monument, The Epochs, Haram, and more are only appropriate here. Pierce the Empire With A Sound was mixed by Teppei from Thrice and offers you that rare space where darkness and beauty collide.
