Arkade's debut 11 song full-length release for Lujo Records perfectly embodies the diverse nature of the band's music. Entitled "The Story of Hiding" and composed over a two year period, it explores the truths behind the truths, the deceptive game of forgiveness, the clarity of reawakening and the hope for a more tender and rich environment. Featuring Climax Golden Twin Jeffery Taylor on the shimmering yet surefooted track "House in December", ARKADE manages to tap an incredibly talented guitarist for a performance both stirringly sincere and chillingly bold. Through the deft and curated employment of music boxes, micro cassette recorders and various other devices the album is courageously well balanced, emotionally bent and unapologetically steeped in a vat of dark romance.
